the event was awesome! and every performances was breathtaking!
here are some of my comments from the HS legclaret started the leg with a powerful and breathtaking performance. excellent moves, nice costume and good musicality. the stunts was executed well, the crowd, including me was impressed. the crowd was soo alive during their performance.
la salle really improved from last year. the boys gave a memorable dance moves, also good stunts, not so good with the choice of music though but they still managed to rock the stage
xavier. skechers will be boring without the crowd favorite dance x! their dance moves was awesome! and as usual, excellent stunts. but what happen to them? they didnt make it to the finals and many people was surprised, shocked and disappointed.
st paul, girly dance moves, like lsgh, teprsichore also improved, but they need to polish their dance more. i was surprise that there’s a new harby in their team.
shs’ aglaia, hhm, i was expecting from this team since aglaia placed 3rd 2 years ago and 2nd last year. their performance was good, the usuall amazing, not ordinary stunts, and powerful dance moves. i like their ending. haha
miriam. yeah. i also expected a lot from sayawatha, and honestly, their performance is better from their last year’s elimination leg piece. good choice of music, but they still need to polish their dance moves. i think the reason why MC won last year was because of their synchronization, and from this year’s eliminations, sayawatha’s dance was not that synchronized.
ateneo. while i’m watching indak, i was like DEYMN! LAKAS MEHN! GALING! they are the strongest for this leg! they are great! awesome! dance moves were polished, stunts were executed well. good musicality and nice costume! really dereved to be on top of this leg!
seriously, what the hell happened to xavier! their performance was great! they really deserve a spot! WILD CARD!

I always thought that those who follow this site do so because of their love for dance. Thus, I found the recent comment of raemarc jarmin of St. Mark’s Institute truly uncalled for. Such comments, if warranted, should only be posted in multiply or FB sites and not here.
We should not goad over the misfortune of other teams.Everyone has a bad day and unfortunately for Dance X, it happened during the elims.The non-participation of Dance X at the Final Battle will not only be a loss for Dance X but for the crowd as well. Sometimes, I wonder if Dance X is really there for the win or just for the fun of it and to entertain the crowd.Their championship piece in Skechers 2, girlie moves in Skechers 3 and poledancing in Skechers 4 show spunk.We remember snipets of their dance routines. I don’t think that any other school, even UP Diliman, can even come close to such audience recall.

Well, as for RAEMARC (the user who can’t even spell ‘buti nga’ right,) perhaps there is a rationale behind such deplorable behavior. Maybe he or she is only trying to get other people’s attention. Maybe this user had very poor upbringing. Or maybe he or she is merely showcasing his or her allegiance to give bad publicity for Terpsichore – a team that probably doesn’t even know this loser. Either way, that was such a sad attempt.
A lot of people are really taking this competition too seriously. I mean, look at SCHOOL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT’s AGLAIA sneaking blows at MIRIAM COLLEGE’s SAYAWATHA. I get where they are coming from but, seriously, that was low. Can you not make a statement WHILE MAINTAINING SOME SEMBLANCE OF CLASS? The whole “NO 2 BITING” message written on the shirts and the little “bite gestures” done while Miriam performed were very poor spirited, rude and CHEAP to say the least.
By the way, what gives Holy Spirit the right to feel noble and self-righteous. AGLAIA’S ROUTINE AND MUSIC HARDLY EVER GIVE ANYTHING NEW. I mean, come on. We’ve seen them do most of those tricks in the past. We’ve already heard at least one of the songs used by the same team before. It’s not like their routine is THAT original. At least the other teams try to give something new every year. AGLAIA seems content in rehashing their old stuff. Perhaps the saying “ang magnanakaw galit sa kapwa magnanakaw” holds some semblance of truth after all.
A word to whoever it is handling this team. I’m guessing that you’re either the coach, the captain, the choreographer or to whoever it is that allowed Aglaia’s behavior during the elims… grow up, hon. Be a positive example to your team. They need a good leader.
Just so you people know. I’m not defending Miriam College. It’s just that I love this competition having competed and winning in it before. It’s just a shame that it has come to this.
Yes. I know this. I was also there during the elims. But you know, despite the fact that something like that did happen, some good came out of it. If I can remember correctly, St Paul and Miriam joined forces during the freestyle battle to do Aglaia’s egg roll before doing their signature poses. They even hugged after. I loved that. It gave me a warm feeling after. I’m not sure if that’s the classiest way to respond but I like the fact that these schools weren’t having any cattiness from Holy Spirit. =)

If you would combine that statement to the real reason why Aglaia did what they did, you would realize that you are the one who is acting “bitter.”

Let’s all move on. Since MC has a coach, it’s really the coach’s fault. The team merely follows the directives of the coach. I’m sure MC has learned from its mistake. It’s just interesting that none of the judges caught the bite since they are the same judges from previous Skechers battles.
Stop the bickering and aim to INSPIRE like Dance X. When they did not make the final cut, we did not hear anything from them. They just accepted the judges’ decision and moved on. That shows a lot of class.

Come to think of it, I don’t think that there is any other school that has gotten it’s share of bad luck more than MC; their coach/moderator runs away with their club funds after Skechers 1;they got booed when they performed at Xavier’s variety show;the crowd has not forgiven them for biting. Despite all these, they’re still here because of their love for dance. Kudos to the team. Maybe it’s about time that you create your own dance piece without the services of a coach because all your headaches seem to emanate from your coaches.
I beg to disagree, Susie. Sayawatha’s coach during Skechers 1 is still their coach up to now. Their moderator is a school employee until now. So where in the world did you get the idea that either the coach or the moderator ran away with their money?

And thanks for the advice, but we work best with a coach. He has the best intentions. Long story short, we spoke as a team about the biting issue, and it turns out, our coach has a different perspective on the term biting. And he admitted his mistake anyways. Honestly, yes natamaan kami sa ginawa ng Aglaia. But you can never correct a mistake with another one, hence we just let the issue go. I myself have a few friends from Aglaia, and they’re honestly good people and obviously good dancers.

I suggest that the next time we notice biting from a team, the coaches should lodge a written complaint with Brainbox/Skechers.The judges decision will always hold so long as no complaints are received.Once a complaint is received, which should be no more than one week, Brainbox/Skechers should hire separate and different panelists not from the original judges to look at the validity of the complaint.If valid, the award should be negated and given to the next best team.
I think that Skechers will always look at the issue on hand as long as it receives a written complaint, i.e. Neptali case.
Some judges are also not aware of biting incidents because streetdance is not their forte.So, it is really up to us to point it out to them.It is said that there were also biting incidents in Maximum Groovity which were caught by the judges.The concerned teams did not even receive scores from the judges.Honestly, I think that the judges should still give scores to the teams but write down their reservations so that it can be deliberated upon.It could be considered biting by one but not by another.
