Jabbawockeez Headlines International Tour in Australia, Philippines and Hawaii

For_Immediate_Release:
// //

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 14, 2009 — (Los Angeles, CA) Friday, August 14, 2009 – International dance gurus the Jabbawockeez have recently completed their Full Service Tour as the main supporting act to pop sensation New Kids On The Block. Due to the tremendously positive reception from the tour as well as their previous shows, the Jabbawockeez will bring their highly-anticipated first headlining tour to Australia, the Philippines, and Hawaii in August and September.

The Jabbawockeez first gained international fame after winning the inaugural season of MTV’s hit series “America’s Best Dance Crew.” Prior to the upcoming tour, the Jabbawockeez made headlines by appearing with some of the industry’s top performers like Ne-Yo, the Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown, and many others. They have been featured in the latest Gatorade campaign alongside the legendary Muhammad Ali as well as superstars Dwyayne Wade, Serena Williams, and Lil Wayne. They also garnered major buzz for opening the NBA All-Star Game with MVP Shaquille O’Neal, who briefly became the “Shaqawockeez.”

Tour schedule is as follows:

8/28 Melbourne (QBH)
8/29 Sydney (The Forum)
8/30 Brisbane (The Arena)
9/3 Muntinlupa City (Alabang Town Center) * 9/5 in Manila
9/4 Quezon City (Trinoma Activity Center)
* 9/4 in Manila
9/5 Makati City (Glorietta 5 Atrium)
* 9/6 in Manila
9/11 Honolulu (Venue TBD)

America’s Best Dance Crew 3 Week 7: Hip-Hop Decathlon

February 28, 2009 Leave a comment

‘Hip-Hop Decathlon’

Check out WatchABDC.com for videos!

Crews performing various dance styles. And it goes as follows:

Song Style
“Poker Face” by Lady Gaga Threading
“I’m in LA (Miami) Trick” by LMFAO Waving
“Love Lockdown” by Kanye West Tutting
“Closer” by Ne-Yo Housing
“Get Up” by 50 Cent Krumping

It’s obviously a Quest – Beat Freaks finale and it has that written all season long. Man, I wish we could watch Boxcutters and Team Millenia doing this challenge! Anyway, Quest by far won the week for me. Everyone should see the backflip from an indian sitting position in the last part of their first routine. Damn. The second routine was the dopest! It’s a must see! Also check out the assisted side-way back-flip also in the last part. Beat Freaks came a little to safe here. I think it’s the whole changing genre thing. I don’t think they did really well in their first routine actually but they definitely killed it in the second one. Well, Fly Kicks? Got the kick out. Check out the link above for this one. Also, there’s this rumor that there might no longer be a season 4 for ABDC. Got this from bloggingbestdancecrew.com:

Chrissy at Yahoo! TV asks if America’s Best Dance Crew will be cancelled after Season 3. She bases her fears on the fact that there has been no announcement about a Season 4. And, she gives three reasons that MTV might cancel the show: 1. High production costs, 2. possible lack of qualified crews, 3. waning viewer interest.

I think all they should do is to just reformat the style into which they judge each crews. They should also alot atleast a minute and a half to two minutes in their routine and refine all these challenges.

What do you guys think?

America’s Best Dance Crew 3 Week 6: Battle of the Sexes

‘Battle of the Sexes’

Check out WatchABDC.com for videos!

Wow. I can’t believe Strikers got the boot. They’re really out performing Fly Kicks up until now and the Miami Heat dancers got voted over these amazing college kids. It’ll be down to Quest, Fly Kicks and Beat Freaks. I’m pretty sure Fly Kicks will exit next week to give way to a Quest vs. Beat Freaks showdown. Beat Freaks for the win! (They have no real choice but to let them win, since there have yet to let a female group dominate).

America’s Best Dance Crew 3 Week 5: Illusion Test

‘Illusion Challenge’

Check out WatchABDC.com for videos!

Nothing really special last night. Dynamic Edition exited this week. Quest was safe and Striker wasn’t really feeling this week. Beat Freaks’ got the whole illusion thing going but I felt that something’s lacking. They do have a number of dance style in their routine though. Fly Kicks will get the boot next week. =)
