THE PROJECT DANCE CHECK-IN

Your official check-in to Project Dance Manila begins at 1:00pm on Friday. Please bring any remaining balances/signed forms that are due for the event plus any music that you have not already mailed into the office. This is also your only opportunity to speak to a stage manager before your performance on Sunday and to ensure you are signed up for the dance classes that you wish to take on Saturday. It’s mandatory that you or your director attend the check-in on Friday. Come by anytime between 1:00pm and 3:30pm. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete this portion of the event for each group.

Note: All goodie bags will be distributed during check-in

THE PROJECT DANCE EXPO

Speak one on one with leaders from the dance world that are making and shaping the face of dance. This year you will have a unique opportunity to network as a way of mapping out your future dance career and calling. The Expo will take place during the check-in time in the same room.

THE PROJECT DANCE-GROUP DANCE
During the concert in Music Hall, Mall of Asia on Sunday we will present a group dance. This dance will be performed on the top of every hour. Your chance to learn the choreography is on Friday afternoon.. We will be teaching the dance 3 separate times beginning at 2:30/3:30/4:30 In order to participate in this new event you must learn the dance sometime on Friday afternoon. Feel free to go to a couple of the learning sessions if you would like.

Note: In the past we have asked that only group leaders attend the check-in process on Friday afternoon, however, now are encourage each and every dancer and staff member to attend 1 of the 3 learning sessions in order to perform the group dance on Saturday.

Everyone should bring your PDevent t-shirt to the stage area on Sunday as we will be wearing them to perform the group piece throughout the day.

For those of you who have attended a Project Dance event before we will no longer have a separate orientation session. All of the information needed will be given to you during the check-in portion of the day. However, during Project Dance Live you can expect to hear important announcements that will pertain to Saturday and Sunday’s events. So, you do not want to miss the events of Friday evening.

Project Dance Live will kick-off our weekend event. Enjoy dance performances from professional companies around NY and beyond, hear amazing live music from Ogie Cayabyab and meet some of the most fascinating artists from around the world as we talk to them one on one. There’s free stuff to give away, and we’ll all do the group dance as a final rehearsal for Saturday performance. You will also get all of your questions answered for the weekend by our stage managers and event volunteers.

Following Project Dance Live will be our Project Dance Musical Concert. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to draw close to God through worship and prepare your hearts for Sunday’s outdoor dance concert in Mall of Asia.

SATURDAY JULY 31

* INSPIRATIONAL MEETING

LOCATION:
STUDIO V
56 Hemady St., New Manila, QC.

10:00-11:30am

You do not want to miss this very rich time of sharing and hearing stories of how lives were changed. This session will go until 9:15am. Within this time frame you will be able to see a recap video produced by Kevin Osgood and hear a message of hope by our special guest Michelle Leaney from Hillsong in Australia.

* MASTER DANCE CLASSES

Following this event we will all proceed to our dance classes that begin promptly at 1pm. by world class teachers and artists including Vibe Dance Studio Director, Melvin Jansen Ang – Project Dance Director, Cheryl Cutlip – Glory Dance Directors, Derek and Cami Capps – Flyt Company Director, Joe Simpson – New York City Hip Hop teacher, Matt Lopez and more.. Once classes are over this will also be the closing of our New York event. Many of you will be off and running to the airport and others of you will stay a few days to catch some Broadway shows. We don’t have a formal closing ceremony so we do encourage everyone to attend the morning inspirational session. That is the last time that everyone is together in one place.
Note: Classes ends at 6:00pm.

SUNDAY AUGUST 1

* PROJECT DANCE MANILA CONCERT 11:00am-6:00pm

Music Hall, Mall of Asia
11:00am-6:00pm (call time will be 10:00am)

The outdoor concert in Mall of Asia is the single most important aspect of the entire weekend. All of our efforts are centered around hosting you as you bring your gifts and talents to the heart of Manila. When you walk through check-in you will be given details on what you can expect for your performance on Sunday. We have quite a large team of stage managers who are all focused on producing the very best show possible. Within your packet of information you will find the most updated version of the show order. If there are any changes to that run down they will be announced on Friday evening at Project Dance Live.

Here is what you need to know for now:

* Stage Dimensions: 24′ wide and 28′ deep and 4′ raised with a marley surface.

* There will be a set of stairs for entrance and exits on the upstage right side and the upstage left side.

Details regarding performance times will be forthcoming. We are now in the process of creating the show now based on your submissions.
