A Very Inspiring Letter

We say we are Christians, we say we love God, we say we perform & dance for Him… but in all that, amongst ourselves we scheme, we start intrigue, we become a prejudice to others, we lie, we plot, we argue, we badmouth… What is that? Wherein we do not really practice what we say.
As leaders of Orange Dance Studio I Dexter Lim & my wife Jen Real-Lim would want to start bridging the gap between Dance teams, studios, groups, etc. Anything or anyone connected in the dance industry should unite & should learn to understand & appreciate the God given talents we all have received. Each person is unique, no one is better… I myself am guilty of these things and I say sorry for those whom I have offended. Before I met Christ it was all about me, everything changed when I met Him. It is not a one day thing that this happened, it’s actually a gradual thing that I had to accept, learn & realize. As a leader, Christ has called me to do something and not be quiet about it. Surely after this message people will still say something about me or about our studio, but this is a start. If no one will have the courage to act, then why should we say we are Christians & we perform for God’s glory?
If you are a leader a, choreographer, a dancer and you share the same things I have just said, please be with us & take part of this change in the Dance industry. It is indeed not easy, but who should we wait for to do it? So please help us! Help influence good thoughts and actions among your friends & members and stop the intrigue & hate. Love should conquer all things as what Christ wants us to do.
Before, I used to think of what I have achieved and what others haven’t. I used to boast about my talents and put it all up to my head. But now I realized, to God it is all but nothing. To Him, the important thing is our character and our love & respect for others.

As what the Bible says, we are like the grass and our achievements, trophies and all our glory are like the flowers of the field. It will always be replaced but the impact we can do to people and the word of God will last forever.
1 Peter 1:24
For, “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,
Isaiah 40:6-8
A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”
