LSDC street really did great, from the start, til the end.
TIP’s flying stuff, wowed many audiences, but they only focused on it, they’re lack of dance, but still they bag 2nd.
    CADs did great too..
all the college participants were all great..
there’s one team who i really love so much, the “NO BBOY NEED TEAM”, the AMA Dance Troupe, as expected, they did LA style, and they were great last night, although nakakabitin coz we really want to see more.. :D

If only TIP had more “dance” than stunts then maybe, they could’ve won. But hey, there’s always gonna be next time. Oh well. ANIMO LA SALLE! KEEP THE ANIMO HEAT! See you next year!!!

i think that its better to get judges outside the philippines, to be FAIR to all the schools! since skechers is selling tickets that HIGH, i think they can afford to fly in choreographers from diff countries!!! what do you think people?!

I thought UP dil will participate in the event. Naka UP Shirt pa naman ako that time. Anyway, at least I’m part of the Animo community too, animo!

UP Manila did not participate too. How come? Were they eliminated or they did not actually join the competition?

I was expecting Ateneo HS and Xavier in the top three. I guess, the judges don’t like their girly-sexy style.

    November 25, 2008 at 11:42 am | #24

If I were to compare it with last year, mas madaming nanood sa araneta nung Year3. If UPdil had participated, the araneta would be jampacked. What if UST’s dance troup also join? That would be better, just like UAAP.

TIP should have won the championship title over La Salle.. Their dance steps and stunts were exciting, they’re really showed the urban style in their dance, matched with their outfits….there’s still next year to grab the title from the undeserving team!…..

  26. kyle
    November 25, 2008 at 11:03 pm | #26

UP manila were eliminated that’s why they’re not there.. TIP were great, but La Salle deserves to be at top 1

It’s interesting to see how the high school winners have higher scores than that of the college division.

And I just want to say, to the people who are just going to bash the different schools or shove insults (direct or subliminal), or be biased with their school, then it’s best you not say anything at all. It’s highly inappropriate, rude, and tactless. If you want to get your point across, then there are better ways of saying it.

TIP talents Guild awesome moves&stunts!!! Brilliant.. for me they deserve to be a Champion!!! More POWER T.I.P

Congratulations to the Skechers Prod Team for their choice of judges this year. Most if not everyone in the crowd were happy with the judges’ picks. I think all the winners deserved their wins.

The HS and the College Divisions did not have the same set of judges. I think this explains the discrepancies in the scores. I bet one of the judges in the College Division really gives very low scores.

The girls in the HS division had really clean acts compared to the boys. But, I liked how Xavier can really work up the crowd. Pole dancing, who would have thought???

    November 26, 2008 at 12:30 pm | #31

The results were God’s will. If you can say “I dance for Him” or “Glory to God!” then make sure that in your heart, you can also say “but Your will still be done”. At the end of the day, your faith is being tested whether you’d still dance for Him even if you don’t get the title.

The Skechers this year was more than a battle of technique or stunts…almost lahat na gumagaling sa stunts and dancing. What made MIRIAM and LA SALLE win was their hearts. Let’s stop the bashing, all groups went through a lot I’m sure…but maybe MC and DLSU went through even tougher times.

    -proud knoller and lasallian :)

Huh? TIP and DLSU still have choreographers? College na sila ah. Mas kahangahanga pa pala ang Dance X, Xavier School sa HS Division. They choreograph their own dances.

  39. spicegirl
    November 29, 2008 at 2:15 pm | #39

DLSU has a COACH and most of the choreographies come from the members.

  40. amanoma
    November 29, 2008 at 9:49 pm | #40

I believe Most of the professional Dance group have their own choreographers or coach or one leader to manage their techniques in street dance otherwise all the suggestions came from the members of the group.. even the manovers & streetboys have their own choreographers and leaders.. Thats why LA SALLE & TIP TALENTS GUILD took the highest place..

yeah r8 amanoma…ndi masama mgkaron ng choreo/coach and in fact cla dpat ung mas binibigyan ng credit coz sknla nka shoulder ung iga2nda ng routine ng isang group…and i do beliv na napakalaki ng part ng choreographers sa mga dance group coz ndi lng ung routine ung naiaambag nla but the whole aspect in dance as well..the morals,techniques,attitude,etc..so bow aq sa choreos ng La Salle and TIP for an excellent masterpiece!

Whoa. I opened a pandora’s box about coaches. Actually, I’m fine with coaches. As spicegirl mentioned, the La Salle crew choreographed their own dance with the supervision of a coach, so maybe that’s why they won. They showed heart and they truly had a great piece. I just noticed that the schools that do their own choreos are more exciting to watch and they get better ever year, i.e. CADS, Dance X and La Salle. You must agree, that they’ve come a long way from Skechers 1. Other schools who cannot do without coaches should take their cue from La Salle. Let their members show their creativity with the guidance of a coach. In the end, they will become better dancers and we will have an even better and more exciting Skechers Compettition.
