Ever felt that something’s pulling you back? Something dragging you down? Do you feel trapped or boxed? ..and NO this is no emo crap. hahaha read on brother:

adlib (ad-lib) v/n.
1. improvisation / to improvise all or part of (a routine, a piece of music, etc.);
2. extemporaneous (as for performing artists, it is to freestyle to one’s own rhythm)

ADDLIB (*add’-lib) n.
1. a group of individuals / artists / dancers that share the same passion for dance, and amidst their busy lives find the time for it and for each other.
2. add + LIFE; add + LIBERTY(lib)

Life is one big show and in like every other performance, you have your choreography, that which is deliberately taught to a dancer for him to execute… and then there are these little parts we call adlib, wherein the dancer himself is free to express his own style and personality.

WE are dancers with day-jobs, schools, and other life activities which we consider our choreography. We are given tasks, we execute, we deliver.. but that doesn’t mean we’re not happy being told to do things. Just like dance choreography, we run them with all we’ve got.. PERFORMANCE LEVEL! Complete with projection and most definitely from our hearts.
…and the little time we share, our short but sweet 5678s, we offer to each other and our passion.

THIS is our ADDLIB.

I got this mail from Mr. Joe Abuda and I must say sir, I do feel you. Anyway, *Addlib is a group that has a strong advocacy in teaching dancers. I feel they’re perfect for people who in that stage of their life where they have to choose between the things they love to do (dancing and probably something else… let’s say Rock Band? kiddin’) well in fact they shouldn’t be faced with that problem. You guys don’t have to choose. You can get both! =)

*Addlib’s dance style is let’s say FREE. It’s all about the freedom in dancing and they’re pretty much doing well in touching different fields. They mix up styles to come up with something new and unique like krump with lyrical, old/new school wit voguing. Right now, they’re a 7-man crew (or was it 8, hahaha). They are:

PAULA
(krumpinoy, airdance, salinggawi)
ballet, jazz, hiphop/krump, contemporary

JET
(feu dance co)
ballet, hiphop/krump

JOE
(gforce, salinggawi)
ballet, jazz, hiphop, contemporary, tap

ELGIN
(ust archi dance co, gforce)
jazz, hiphop, tap

EZK
(salinggawi)
jazz, ballet, hiphop

CALVIN
(feu dance co, gforce)
contemporary, hiphop, jazz, ballet

TONI
(feu cheering squad, gforce)
jazz, hiphop, cheerleading

With such a line-up, you can tell how well versed this group is with different dance styles. Okay, I hope you guys are even more interested! here’s the details:
