Fanny Pack represents!
The battle ends up between Kaba Modern and Fanny Pack. Kaba Modern kicks off the first ABDC appearance with “Closer” and Fanny Pack performed “Damaged”. Kaba Modern’s precision is right on as ever. They’re really good but I think Fanny Pack killed it with their showmanship in their “Damaged” routine. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no FP fan. In fact, I hated the way they perform way back in ABDC – probably because I don’t feel their dance style. Anyway, their routine on that day in no way did affected their odds to be the one representin’ anyway. The votes were closed the night before they perform in VMA. It’s based on their ABDC dance routine. Check out my last post for the vid on that dance. Here’s the link on the two crew’s performance that day:
KM fell short in that last performance. I don’t think they were able to do much justice with their music. The conveyer belt’s good and all but I just don’t dig it. I voted for FP ones and yes I agree with you man. I never liked them to begin with but their last performance killed it and landed them to win this one! Far out!
I must say both these crews gave a spectacular performance! It’s really hard to tell whose better because both these crews got their own unique style to the mix. Kaba is Kaba and FP is FP so it just depends on which dance style you cater to. Personally, I’m a Kaba fan because of their precise popping and isolations blended into their choreography so for me they take the cake!
Fanny Pack’s pretty sharp themselves. I really enjoyed their ‘when i grow up’ routine. Is it me or Fanny Pack has this village-people-aura in them. =x
